Hi STEAMLeads,

Attachedplease find the slides from this week’s speaker, Kristin. I wanted to let youknow that our next Speaker Series is scheduled for Monday, 11/4, at 3:45 pm.The format will be a Q and A with me for the first 35 minutes, then we willopen it up to questions from you and the students. Hopefully, the students willbe engaged. Encourage them to ask questions.

Our guestspeaker is Charles Babb, Producer at Oculus Publishing, where he is engaged indeveloping games utilizing emerging technologies. Charles exhibits remarkableversatility as a creative technologist. He has worked across diverse domainssuch as music, manga, anime, video games, virtual reality, and theme parks.Notably, he is the co-founder of The Geekish Network, a platform dedicated tosupporting BIPOC individuals within the geek community. Charles also served asa producer for the Emmy Award-winning virtual reality series, Van Jones' TheMessy Truth.

His contributions to the gaming industry have resulted in the successfulrelease of video games published by renowned entities such as Warner Bros.,Activision, Sony PlayStation, Koei Tecmo, and AT&T. Additionally, Charleshas held the position of Creative Producer of Global Anime at Netflix. Hiscreative endeavors have also extended to theme park development, where he hasundertaken projects for Universal Studios and Disney.
