Good Morning TUPE Partners,
I hope this email finds you well. As mentioned in a previous email, Music Notes was scheduled to visit your school/district this semester to provide anti-vaping assemblies and/or workshops for your students, paid for by the LA County Office of Education. With schools switching to distance learning models, we have a virtual option to still share this presentation with your students that I hope your schools and students will be eager to take advantage of.
Beginning next week, each school will have a personalized live stream presentation made available to them at 9:00 AM on the date listed below. Video from that presentation will then continue to remain available to students for the rest of the semester at the link listed below.
We do not want to add any extra burden on anyone, so it is entirely up to you if/how you utilize this resource. Ideally, students would visit your school's customized link on the date listed below to watch the presentation at 9:00; they can even ask questions in the comments section that will be answered in real time! But the presentation will remain available for students to watch for the next two months, so it is an activity that can be done at any time. Or the link can simply be sent to students as an optional activity if they would like information on the dangers of vaping or see music videos for our anti-vaping songs.
To make this as easy as possible, I've attached a companion worksheet (and answer key) in case schools/teachers want to make this an assignment. Not a requirement, just an option to support distance learning. Again, it is entirely up to you if/how you'd like to utilize this resource; we just want to make sure we're doing what we can to support schools and students during this challenging time. Feel free to reach me by phone or email with any thoughts or questions. Thank you!
