Dear Parents & Guardians,

“In consideration of the Governor’s recent orders, current data trends showing the increased spread of COVID-19, and significant family and community input, and in accordance with the authority granted to by the Board of Education on March 13, 2020, I am declaring that when school reopens on August 11, 2020, it will be solely through the established distance learning model until circumstances permit otherwise.

Although we all wish the facts surrounding this pandemic were different, a 100% distance-learning approach is the only approach that will ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and community which is always our first priority. We look forward to being able to reestablish a traditional, on-site learning model as soon as it is safe to do so. As always, our lines of communication with students, staff, and families remain open and we will continue to share information as circumstances change and we thank you for continuing to share your thoughts with us as we work through this unprecedented time together.”

Sincerely,

Superintendent Richard Martinez
